Information About The Least Squares Fitting Spreadsheet Program How to Enter Data Highlighting Saving This SpreadSheet Since this spread sheet has been protected as a read only document, you need to save a copy of it in your own directory. Use the menu option: File / Save As and select your own directory under the browse option. Entering and Editing Data Start entering your data in row 11, columns A, B and C. Enter any subsequent data below row 14. Don't panic if you see "diff/0" error messages. Calculating the Least Squares Fit 1) Enter your data into columns A, B, and C starting at row 11 (You may enter a maximum of 1000 rows of data.) 2) Highlight (select) the cells in columns E thru O starting at row 11 and down to the last row of your data. How to highlight: Please practice these steps on this page to perfect your skills before moving back to the data page. 1) Position the mouse pointer (which is usually in the shape of a white cross) over the left most/top most cell of the region you would like to highlight (select). It is not imperative to use the left most/top most cell since any corner cell of the region
