To define public health, prevention and health promotion and to identify specific ways that each of these are used to improve quality of life and life expectancy. 3. To list and explain the factors that influence a person’s health status. 4. To list and explain the five dimensions of wellness and to identify at least three health behaviors common to each dimension. What is Health? World Health Organization (WHO) Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
