Prophecies of OT – NT
So the LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this: “Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild
animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and
the woman, and between your offspring
and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”
“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will
be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”
Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful
Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
The suffering and glory of the servant…
“The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people
of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of
Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to
them,” declares the LORD. “This is the covenant I will
make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the LORD. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their
hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another,
‘Know the LORD,’
because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the LORD.
“For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”
