But if she has been dressing up in Bermuda shorts and sleeveless tops before at the same job and the manager or supervisor hasn't said anything to her, then I think she could be offended by the comment but especially the fact that she was not allowed to attend the meeting in those clothes. 2. I don't agree with Cohen's argument "People my age are taught to express themselves, and saying something negative about someone's fashion is saying something negative about them. I think that some companies have specific dress codes and they should be followed. If someone makes a comment about person's clothes, I think he/she doesn't mean to comment on their personality, it is strictly about the clothes. People at her age are taught
