► Elicit radiographic signs of disease
► Describe abnormal findings & to give Dx or D.Dx IVU
► Indications: renal colic, Hematuria, Trauma, Pelvic malignancy, UTI
► C/I: Pregnancy, Allergy, R.insufficiency, Radioisotope I
► Preparation: Laxative, NPO
► Dehydration: C/I in infants, RF, MM, DM Phases of IVU

► KUB: position, exposure, ROS
► 5 minutes ► 15 minutes
► 20 minutes ► Full Bladder
► Empty MCUG
