The three stages of memory Sensory memory is the earliest stage of memory. During this stage, sensory information from the environment is stored for a very brief period of time, generally for no longer than a half-second for visual information and 3 or 4 seconds for auditory information. We attend to only certain aspects of this sensory memory, allowing some of this information to pass into the next stage - short-term memory.

Reflections on past critical thinking experiences, which allow you to apply the same process with confidence and/or improve upon past experiences. 2.) Learned processes and skills, which you can work toward applying but you may not be as good with as those above. Personal Experience When the death of a close friend of mines occurred I was completely stressed out. I was currently in the 11th grade and I remember having several quizzes the same week. I found it tremendously hard to learn and memorize the material of my courses. This negatively effected me because I ended up failing the quizzes and did not learn or gain much. THE END...
