1. It is important for maintaining economic welfare as well as the standard of living in the country as they are both dependent on goods and services available to its people. 2. Job shop – injection mold in manufacturing shop. Flow shop – moving assembly lines for cars. Project shop – construction of bridges. 3. Manufacturing system is the collection of operations and processes used to produce a desired product or component. It is the design or arrangement of the manufacturing processes. Manufacturing process deals with the processing of unfinished to finished products and it often consists of a set of steps. Machine tool is the assembly that produces a desired result. Job is a group of related operations done at a station. Operation is an action to produce a desired outcome. 4.
