ICD-9 Codes Tosha Padgett HCR/220 Instructor Jessica Ellis University of Phoenix Due: January 19, 2012 I actually had some trouble with this assignment, so I did the best I could. I read the chapter about three times and searched websites trying to make sure I got these right. However, I am sure I got some wrong. Patient 1: 68 year old male presents to the office complaining of pronounced weakness on the right side of his body and slurred speech for the past 24 hours. Based on the exam, the physician orders an MRI to investigate a possible transient ischemic attack. The best codes I could find to explain this is as follows: 728.87 (muscle weakness) 784.5 (slurred speech)

Codes: 998.3 (disruption of wound) 998.83 (non-healing surgical wound) I am not sure of this one really 892.0 (wound on foot) This is the one that I think is correct Sorry if this assignment is not done correctly. I should have asked questions before the day the assignment was due. I will keep studying this concept to make sure that I understand it. Thanks! References: www.icd9cm.chrisendres.com...
