Jeremiah Gordon MGT 111/A 10/12/2011 Company Report #1 The Coca-Cola Company, also know as Coca-Cola is an American beverage distributing company that specializes in soda. Coca-Cola was founded by John Pemberton in 1886 and now is a global company that produces over 500 types of drinks and sells them in over 200 countries. These statistics make Coca-Cola the largest producer of nonalcoholic beverages and syrups. Some of the hundreds of beverages that are produced by The Coca-Cola Company worldwide include Coca-Cola, Minute Maid, Fuze, Sprite, Dasani, and Powerade. Coca-Cola is a perfect example of a modern global company as mentioned before; they sell products in over 200 countries, and make three fourths of their profits outside of the United States. These global locations include Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin and North America, and the Pacific. Coca- Cola is renowned for their ability to adapt their products to the locations where they will be sold. For instance in 2010 they released Maazy Milk Delite in India in order to try and tackle India’s dairy market. Del Valle Pulpy was a drink with real pulp introduced in Mexico and Vitamin Water zero was introduced in the United States as a healthy alternative to soda. The fact that Coca-Cola markets drinks as healthy alternatives to other drinks they produce is a perfect example just how much Coca-Cola dominates the beverage market. In order to dominate the global market like they do, it is necessary for Coca-Cola to have offices and factories all over the world. The original and American headquarters are located in Atlanta, Georgia. Coca-Cola also is responsible for the headquarters of their other brand drinks like Minute

Maid’s offices in Texas.
