Miss Takoua Becha 1 Higher Institute of Arts and Crafts of Gabes Academic year : 2010/2011 Miss Takoua Becha First year: Grps: 3+45+6+8 Color Symbolism Worksheet Colors are more than a combination of red and blue or yellow and black. They are non-verbal communication. Colors have symbolism and color meanings that go beyond ink. As you design brochures, logos, and Web sites, it is helpful to keep in mind how the eye and the mind perceive certain colors and the color meanings we associate with each color. Sometimes colors create a physical reaction (red has been shown to raise blood pressure) and at other times it is a cultural reaction (in the U.S. white is for weddings, in some Eastern cultures, white is the color for mourning and funerals). What is your favorite color?. .................................................................................................................... What does it mean for you? ..................................................................................................................... Activity 1 : What do these colors symbolize? Red yellow Blue Green Orange Purple Brown Gray Pink Black White

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
