As four consulting engineers, we were asked to evaluate a distribution system within the state of Mississippi. After evaluating and discussing amongst each other, we found several problems within the existing system. Our firm then brought to our attention that we needed to construct a complete 5 year forecast of the system. Since we had an estimated projection, which had increases in residential loads and large power loads, it was a necessity to adjust whatever previous correction we had thought of for the existing system. SEC Utilities requirements have certain criteria to follow when determining problems and making improvements to distribution system, so we will make the best correction with minimal expense. The current system stretches 54 miles long and has two main substations; one on each end of the system. Each substation has two main feeder circuits coming off them
