Bridge formed between cells by pilus c. Fragment of DNA (plasmid) transferred from one bacterial cell (donor) to another bacterial cell (recipient) CHANGES in BACTERIA (PHENOTYPE) 1. Colony morphology : a. Loss of pigmentation b. Smooth rough ( loss of capsule) 2. Biochemical activity
