The difference between Management and Engineering Management is that Management deals with the general issues of business. Engineering management on the other hand deals with business issues that relate to engineering. Engineering management is a type of management that is a sub category of management. Week 1 Question 2 Page 75 describes a 5 step process that management science uses to solve real world problems. What kinds of management problems are best suited for applying this approach? Are there management problems to which this approach is not suitable? If so what are they and why are they not suitable? Management science uses a five-step process in order to solve real world problems. The problem begins in the real world, and then the problem is solved in the model world, and back to real world to be implemented.
