Continuing education and learning is a very important process of effective social work. The evaluation process provides the opportunity to do exactly that. Evaluations reveal what has goneright in services and what could be changed to advance improvement. Evaluations can be achieved in survey questionnaires in many different forms. In my current field assignment, we utilize surveys which are collected ahead of services and at the completion of services. Not everyone completes the forms which has some impact on the potential outcome, however, the information gathered is always considered and factored in when changes are developed. In real form, the evaluation begins at the onset of service and in the assessment process. Goals and expectations are established, and plans are designed for success.
