Final Exam of MATH 2030 The weight is 45% . The Final Exam is at Dec 11 Sunday, 7:00-9:30 pm, SLH F. Content: the material covered in class and on the assignments . This is roughly Chapters 1-4 of the text, plus Appendix 1 and a little bit from Section 6.4 . Exceptions: Empirical distributions (in 1.3). Odds ratios (in 2.3) Skew normal approximations (in 2.2 and 3.5).The negative binomial distribution (in 3.4; this is only mentioned briefly in the class). The gamma distribution (in 4.2; this is only mentioned briefly in the class). Hazard rates (in 4.3). Order statistics (in 4.6). Assignments 1: Section 1.1, number 2 (p. 9) Section 1.3, numbers 4, 6, and 9 (pp. 30, 31) Appendix I, number xiii (p. 514) – there are 5 cases a=0 to 4 to answer. Assignments 2: Section 1.4, numbers 4,5,6,7, and 8 (pp. 45, 46) Assignments 3: Section 1.6, numbers 5, 6, 7, and 8 (pp. 70, 71) Section 1.5 numbers 3 (p. 53) and 6ac (p. 54) Assignments 4: Section 3.1, number 9 (p. 159). Hint: $X$ takes values only for $x=2, 3, 4, 5$, why?
