Running Header: UNIT 9 PROJECT 2 PepsiCo is more than just beverages and snacks. PepsiCo is a company that is smart and successful. With five brands that vary from Pepsi to Quaker, they cover a lot of ground with customer consumption. Digging deep, I see that PepsiCo is a leader and there is a good reason why I would love to be a part of this company one day. Let’s take a look at why PepsiCo is successful at what they do. PepsiCo’s mission is “to be the world's premier consumer products company focused on convenient foods and beverages. They seek to produce financial rewards to investors as they provide opportunities for growth and enrichment to their employees, their business partners and the communities in which they operate. And in everything they do, they strive for honesty, fairness and integrity. This statement says a lot. It states that they want to be a leading company in convenient foods, which they are, while providing growth for their employees. A company that provides continuous growth, usually has happy employees and low turn over rates. Good people don't leave good companies (Zidle, 2005). Looking at their vision, PepsiCo’s vision states that it is "PepsiCo's responsibility to continually improve all aspects of the world in which they operate - environment, social, economic - creating a better tomorrow than today." This vision is put into play through programs that focus on environmental situations with activities to benefit society, and a commitment to build up shareholder value by truly making PepsiCo sustainable. These are the values that are a reflection of the socially and environmentally responsible company that they are aspiring to be (“Pepsico Company”, 2011). PepsiCo is committed to achieving their business and financial success by leaving a positive influence on society with delivering what they call performance and purpose.

Running Header: UNIT 9 PROJECT 3 This is done by driving shareholders value and holding their commitment to deliver sustained growth through authorized people by acting responsibly and building trust (“Pepsico Company”, 2011). So, what does PepsiCo mean when they mention sustained growth and authorized people? They believe that sustained growth is the key to motivating and measuring success. By doing so, it helps them to understand if the activities of today will be something contributory to their future success. This is where the growth of their employees and the company performance make a difference and get things done. By authorizing people they have the freedom to act and think in ways that they feel will get the job done, while carrying out processes that guarantee proper governance and being aware of company needs beyond their own. PepsiCo states that they are strong believers in it, but do not divulge in what it is
