Assignment 3 Part 1: Evading Predators 3.1 Formulate a hypothesis for the effect of increased flight speed on the sparrow population. My hypothesis for the effect of increased flight speed on the sparrow population is that the sparrow population increase slightly higher than normal. 3.2 How did increasing flight speed affect the population numbers of sparrows and hawks? Increasing flight speed did raise the population and kept it steadily around 1000 birds. 3.3 Formulate a hypothesis for the effect of decreased flight speed on the sparrow population. Decreasing the flight speed of the sparrow will slightly lower the overall population. 3.4 How did decreasing flight speed affect the population numbers of sparrows and hawks? Decreasing flight speed made the population unstable and varied greatly and the overall number of birds was much less than when flight speed was higher. 3.5 Attach the population size graphs from this set of experiments.
