INTRODUCTION “Strange, the way Aphrodite’s sweet perfume beguiles the young” This line implies that Aphrodite, the goddess of love, could be compared to  beautiful women who intrigue the young. The perfume is the means of intriguing the  young which includes beauty, love and lust. Aphrodite’s sweet perfume is like siren  songs luring the men to their will.  The most important question is why the poem is called Inamorata? The writer  of the poem is the Chain, one of the most prestigious high school magazines in Region  Six. The poem is about love which is described in many ways. It shows that love is very  beautiful, sacred and has its ways to break free.
