These three factors must be considered in the following tasks: Selecting the pipe diameters. Locating the reservoir. Choosing the material of the pipes. Achieving a junction pressure at all junctions of 250 to 400 KPa. 4 Abstract: This project was assigned to us by our respected professor Dr. Kutsi Erduran as a part of the CVE341 water resources course. The whole class was divided into different groups and all the groups got a map of an area that we will use in our pipe designing, but each group was given different numbers of discharges. Dr. Kutsi assigned a lab session for us to teach us how the Water CAD program is used and he taught us how to use this program which was very essential in our project and was very helpful. The project was mainly concerned in designing a water drinking network to a new city in Turkey. We started this project by making some assumptions for the pipe diameters and the reservoir elevations which was helpful to achieve a certain limit of hydraulic pressure of (250- 400) Kpa at the junctions which the water cad helped us with that. Also, we used some internet resources to find the best material to use for the pipes. We also did some hand calculations to find the friction or head losses between any pair of junction points....
