Name of Instructor: -  Aqeel Ahmed Date of submission: -  09 / 09 / 08 Abstract In the previous lab I had performed two experiments. The first experiment was  determining the moisture content of soil. In this experiment I carried out a simple test on  a sample of soil. I basically measured the sample of moist soil, and then heated the soil to  a degree where all the water had evaporated. Thus by knowing the mass of water in the  soil, I could therefore determine the moisture content of the soil sample. In the second experiment, I determined the specific gravity of soil. Through a certain  procedure that will be explained the report, I first calibrated my pycnometer, and then  calculated the mass of the soil sample along with water and the pycnometer. Finally I was  capable of calculating the specific gravity of soil, using the formula for the specific  gravity of soil. 2

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
