Steve & Kate's Employment Requirements Last Update: 2.27.2020Shared Staff Responsibilities While each staff person’s experience will differ based on their role, there are shared responsibilities and expectations for all staff members and Self-Directors, including: ●Completing all required paid online and in-person staff training, including, but not limited to, training related to safety and emergency procedures, Camp philosophy, and content-specific information for assigned activities prior to the first day working at camp. Training time and requirements may vary by position, but all Camp-specific training time will be paid for. ●Being present for Move-in and Move-out weekends, directly before and after the camp opens/closes, to inventory, unpack, assemble and set up Camp equipment at move-in, and to disassemble and pack Camp equipment at move-out ●Actively supervising campersto ensure they follow the Camp Responsibilities (safety, respect, and caring for people and environment) and to prevent accidents and promote the safety, security, and well-being of all campers. ●Helping ensure compliance with Camp policies:Staff are responsible for helping to ensure Camp policies, including our gender-neutral bathroom policy, are followed. ●Behaving in a professional and friendly manner with parents and staff. ●Reporting and recording details of notable concerns or incidents, and of injuriesto campers, other staff members or self.
