Jn (north of Zhu, on opposite side of Yellow River) 4. Qn (in the far west, capital on the Wi river, a big tributary of the Yellow River) 5. Q (an eastern state; loc. modern Shndng province; its rulers were descendants of Jing Tigng) 6. L (a small but influential state loc. south of Q; its rulers were descendants of Zhugng; this was to be the native state of K ngz [Confucius]; 551-479 BCE) 7. Wi (loc. west of Q and L; famous for the depravity of certain rulers) 8. Sng (loc. east of Zhng and south of L; its rulers were descendants of the Shng dynasty kings) 9.
