Information literacy is ability to recognize when information is needed and to locate, evaluate and use effectively the needed information. 3. If you quote material, you need to reveal the source of the information during your presentation. 4. Facts are data that can be verified by observation. 5. Hypothetical examples provide concrete frames of reference and interject life and meaning into the ideas you are communicating. 6. It is often helpful to translate a statistic into audience –specific terms. 7. Two of the three types of testimony are personal testimony and lay testimony . 8. With a chronological organizational pattern, you begin with a specific point in time and then move forward or backward. 9. With a categorical organizational pattern, you arrange ideas in a pattern that emphasizes distinct topics.
