There is also some German and Italian being spoke closer to the borders of France. Another key part of France and the French culture is their eating habits. Business Etiquette Business meetings with the French are generally very formal, politeness, respectful and trustworthy. When having business meeting it is usually customary to apoligise for not knowing French, it also helps build relationships. When it comes to scheduling appointments or business meeting it is customary to schedule them at least two weeks ahead of time. Appointment should not be scheduled during the months of july and august though, these are often vacation months.
