Course: SAT Prep Text: Barron’s How to Prepare for the SAT I , Barron’s Educational Series, Inc. Cost: $13.95 Prerequisite: Geometry / Sophomore College Prep Language Arts Curricular goals interwoven throughout the SAT Prep course are that students will: become proficient with appropriate computational tools and techniques (QCC) learn to reason mathematically (QCC) become acquainted with the range of vocabulary on the SAT I review key areas of mathematics and Language Arts tested on the SAT I These goals will provide the direction for assessment and instruction. Attainment of these goals is facilitated by the students’ demonstration of the following Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS). Unit 1 Getting acquainted with the SAT I (pp. 1-24) 5 days explores format, scope, and content of the verbal sections of the SAT I. explores format, scope, and content of the mathematics sections of the SAT I. investigates appropriate calculators for use while taking the SAT I
