You are given CaCl 2 treated competent cells at a concentration of 3X10 10 cells per ml. You add 5 nanograms of your DNA sample to 0.1 ml of these cells, then heat shocked the cells. You diluted your transformation reaction by adding 0.9 ml of culture broth, and then you plated 0.1 ml of this mixture on your LB-Amp plate. Assume that you got 100 resistant colonies on the plate.
