Algae and the Production of  Biological Hydrogen It is now known that algae can be used to  create biofuels! But have you considered what else Algae  can do? Using chemical processes, algae can be  involved in the production of hydrogen,  which can then be used in hydrogen fuel  cells.

Uses and Outputs of Algae  Hydrogen Fuel Cells Hydrogen can then be used for, but is not  limited to, powering buildings, heating homes,  and fueling cars that contain hydrogen power  cells. When Hydrogen is used as a power source,  it’s output is water vapor, which is in no way  directly harmful to the environment.
