PURPOSE: This lab will help analyze the properties of silicon diodes. The properties of pn junction diodes such as forward bias and backward bias will be observed in the lab. MATERIAL: 1. 1 kΩ Resistor 2. 1 PN Junction Diode 3. Oscilloscope PROCEDURE: Figure 1: 1. Assemble circuit in Figure 1 2. With the oscilloscope apply a 5V peak to peak voltage, using the triangular wave generator. Apply at 500 Hz. Figure 2: 1. Assemble circuit in Figure 2. Repeat steps 2 in Procedure above.

The key word is crude. Full Wave Voltage Regulator as much better. CONCLUSION: In this lab the properties of the silicon diode were observed. The calculations done proved many of the theoretical values associated with the diode. Some of these include the forward bias turn of voltage of 0.7V...
