Lab Session #8 Bipolar Transistors Randall Robert Purpose: To characterize an NPN bipolar transistor, and measure the DC operating point and the AC performance of a single transistor amplifier Assembly: For Procedure 1. Connect the circuit in figure 1, and use the potentiometer to vary the voltage at the input in 1V increments from 0 to 10V. Measure the voltage at the base and the collector. For Procedure 2. Connect the circuit in fig. 2 without connecting the potentiometer, take voltage readings. Procedures: (all figures are on page 8 of this report) 1. After assembling the circuit in figure 1 the following voltages were recorded. 2. After assembling the circuit in figure the following readings were recorded. Figure 2. with out the pot. in place.
