Unformatted text preview: Math 128: GUIDELINES FOR MIDTERM II Koray Karabina (firstname.lastname@example.org) The purpose of this document is to provide you with some guidelines for studying the midterm that you will (hopefully) find helpful. This is by no means a complete guide to the midterm. You are responsible for the material that I have covered in Weeks 5, 6, 7 and 8 as out- lined in the Course Outline in the course webpage but, please note that I have slightly deviated from the Course Outline. For example, I skipped ( at least ) the following sec- tions/subsections: a ) Orthogonal Trajectories and Mixing Problems in Section 9.3; b ) Graph- ing Polar Curves with Graphing Devices in Section 10.3; c ) Review of Exponential Growth and Decay in Section 3.8; and d ) 2-D Vectors in Section 12.2. The reason I skipped these sections is either (and mostly) because you are not responsible for them, or you can handle them with what you already know. So, in any case, you do not have to worry about it. On the other hand, I presented some extra material during the lectures. For example, I provided more details on how to sketch parametric curves .
