AE202 Problem Set 1: MATLAB DUE: 9 February 2011 Spring 2011 Instructions for submitting MATLAB code: Include a printout of your MATLAB code with your homework solutions. Please include AE202 Homework 1 in the subject line of the email. 1. Hahn and Valentine Exercise 2.1 a. Unacceptable: Will not cause an error but will not be recognized as a single number. It will count as two numbers 9 and 87 b. Acceptable c. Acceptable d. Acceptable e. Unacceptable: Will try to multiply 3.57 by a variable e2 (which probably doesn’t exist) f. Unacceptable: Variable names cannot contain a space (use an underscore to separate words) i. Acceptable: but not recommended, might cause confusion with the expression for infinity (Inf) j. Acceptable k. Unacceptable: Variable names cannot contain an operator *,/,+,-, etc.
