THE THIRD PLANET STUDY GUIDE #4  NATURAL DISASTERS METEORITE IMPACTS Do stones fall out of the sky? If so, is it a rare?              Yes, not rare about 50 tons a day.    Do small stones fall more frequently than large rocks?              Yes, Stones fall occasionally.    Has anyone ever been hit by a meteorite?              Yes, Mrs. Hodges in the hip. A dog in Egypt has been hit before by a meteorite  and killed.    What took place at Tunguska, Siberia, in 1908?              Huge explosion happened. Shockwave felt across the world from gases.  Russians took awhile to get to the center of the blast location.    What is thought to have caused the Tunguska event? Why is that?              UFO space craft, Comet: Being mostly ice it would mostly vaporized, but it would  still come through the atmosphere.
