Boeing Company is the largest manufacturer of commercial aircraft in the United States and is a major employer in Seattle. Explain why each of the following individuals or organizations would be interested in financial information about the company. a. California Public Employees Retirement System: Financial information from Boeing could provide CPRES with information on projected enrollment, cash outs, disenrollment, transfers and help to project one or multiple year payouts. b. China Airlines: This information can help China Airlines make decisions about future purchases, how dependable Boeing can be relied on for delivery of purchase and funds available for new projects. c. Henry James: Mr. James can get a clearer picture of the local economy by using this information. If the company employs many people and is sound, the investment into new apartments is less risky than if the company financials are not good and may use layoffs to balance operations.
