Lab 7.1 Part I Work with file systems * Complete the numbered steps on pages 183-191 in your text book o You may wish to create a snapshot of your VM prior to beginning this lab since mistakes made in this lab can be catastrophic o Skip step 14 on page 185 o You may get an error message regarding preserving permissions in step 4 on page 190, this error can be ignored o The command in step 5, page 190 should be mount --bind /var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs /new_var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs o The two NOTE's on page 191 are not optional and will need to be read and followed o Do NOT delete the /old_var and /new_var directories as specified in step 10 on page 191 Part II Take and submit the screen shots 1.
