Lab 7.2 Part I Setup the lab virtual machine 1. Download, extract, and open the archived virtual machine found at http://www.nl.northweststate.edu/SharedStuff/CIS155/Ch7.7z 2. Start the machine and verify that you can login as root using the password P@ssw0rd Part II Add an additional hard drive to the virtual machine 1. Shut down the system 2. Go to the VM menu and choose the option Settings. .. 3. Click the Add. .. button 4. Click Next 5. Select Hard Disk and click Next 6. Accept the default Disk settings and click Next 7. Accept the default Disk Type settings and click Next 8. Make sure the Disk size is 8.0 GB 9. Uncheck the Allocate all disk space now check box 10. Uncheck the Split disk into 2 GB files check box 11. Click Next 12. Accept the default file name and click Finish 13. Click OK Part III Create a new 4 GB partition, create a resierfs file system on it, copy the /home directory to it and finally make sure it is automatically mounted when the system reboots 1.
