B’Oris 1 Donnie B’Oris Mrs. Mitchell English 3 24 February 2007 Bill Gates Influences America Big Money Gates or better known as Bill Gates is one of America’s best know billionaire entrepreneur who designed and developed innovative software for the common computer. Bill Gates deserves to be on Atlantic’s Top 100 List of Influential people because he is the Rockefeller of the information age, in business and philanthropy alike. William Henry Gates the Third also known as the wiz kid, was born on October 28, 1955, into a prominent, well to do Seattle Washington family as the second child and only son of William Henry Gates Jr., a Seattle attorney and Mary Maxwell Gates, a local schoolteacher. As a child Gates excelled in math at school and was a sucker for any technological gadgets. “While working with PDP-10, Gates was responsible for what was probably the first computer virus” (“Gates, Bill” UXL Biographies 3). “When Gates was found out, he was severely reprimanded and kept away from computers for his entire junior year at Lakeside” (“Gates, Bill”
