2Leaders have to make tough decisions comes consequences where leaders need to be ableto identify based on their leadership style. Styles of leadership vary between managers and even the organization you work for. “Most development psychologists agree that what differentiates leaders is not so much their philosophy of leadership, their personality, or their style of management. Rather their internal action logic” according to Rooke and Torbert (2005). I will be using Dr. Karen West leadership assessment to identify my go-to and supplemental leadership styles. It will evaluate the potential blind spots and environment that are likely to thrive and struggle as well as listing the SMART goals that I can use to focus on for self-improvement. Go-To Leadership StyleThe go-to leadership style I identify with was producer, and it couldn’t be anymore accurate. According to the assessment, I have strong temperament and work ethic, hardworking and tangible results (West, Stixrud & Reger, 2015). The producer leadership style is a fast pace and is results- oriented plus follows a structured approach. I enjoy working in a fact pace environment and am also very detailed-oriented in the work that I do.
