LIFESTYLE OR MEDICATION 2 Lifestyle or Medication A person with Crohn’s disease can choose which way they would like to control it. Many times medications that reduce swelling and suppress the immune system are prescribed for mild to moderate symptoms and surgery for the more severe cases. The alternative to medication is changing your diet, your lifestyle and adding some specific herbs and supplements. ("Crohn'S Disease", 2011). Many people may see the latter of the two options a difficult feat. Many of us have just settled into our day to day routines. We get use to eating the same things, doing the same things, and driving to work the same way everyday. Do get the picture? Sure it seems like an easy thing to do by changing the way we eat. How many people do you know have tried to lose weight and it just seemed like it was nearly impossible? Why? Because they had to change
