Excel Problem: Find and graph the power functions as indicated below and test hypotheses as indicated. For each case, the y i are iid, Normal( μ unknown, σ = 200.) ZZ = last two digits of your UIN(University Identification Number). XX is the preceding two digits. Null hypothesis: H 0 : μ = ZZ + 50 Sample mean = XX 1. Test the hypothesis against the alternative H a : μ < ZZ + 50 With: n = 100. and α = 0.01 2. Same as above, but n = 25 3. Same as 1, but Test against H a : μ ≠ ZZ + 50 (not equal) (and n = 100) 4. Same as 1 above but α = 0.10 In each case: Find the rejection region. Find the value of t or z or the appropriate statistic for your test. Find the p value Find the power function and graph all four power functions on a single graph.
