1.0 INTRODUCTION This paper is going to provide an analysis on the similarities between two selected specialized texts with markedly different registers. The two specialized the text are selected from medical and scientific. Meanwhile, the translation strategy that need in translating specialized text from English to Chinese will be discussed. 2.0 SCOPE AND LIMITATION The similarities identified are derived from the two selected texts. All sources of data is from either website scholar article or other references such as books, journals. The paper only focuses on translating strategy from English to Chinese. 3.0 3.1 Texts presented This study examined water yield change when converting a broad-leaved forest to a c oniferous plantation forest after clear-cutting in northern Japan where monthly precipi tation was evenly distributed. Annual water yield after clear-cut was greater than obse rved in a broad-leaved forest and consequently decreased with the growth of a conifer ous plantation forest. This reduction ceased 30 years after the coniferous seedlings pla nting. Water yield of a coniferous forest at this stage was smaller than observed in a br oad-leaved forest. Results from monthly water yield examinations suggested that the d ifference in annual water yield was caused primarily by the difference in winter interc eption loss between broad-leaved deciduous and coniferous evergreen forests. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? , ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? , ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? , ? ? ? ? ?
