With years of development, the company is widely regarded as one of the strongest brands with reputation for excellence in safety, operational reliability, engineering and maintenance, and customer service. The Qantas group owns both Qantas and Jetstar, they compete together with each other and with virgin blue, and the Qantas group provides airline service through both domestic and international network. The airline industry in Australia is a duopoly; the two major companies, the Qantas group and the Virgin Blue Airline Group dominate the industry. The industry main business is the transportation of passages; Qantas group contains 73.5% of the domestic market share while virgin blues holds 20.2%.
