Also, by appointment ______________________________________________________________________________ Meeting Time and Place We will be meeting Monday - Friday between 8:00am - 9:30am in McColl 3650 . Course Description The objective of this course is to teach students how to apply modern financial theory to the investment and financing decisions of a corporation by providing them with the fundamental analytical tools of corporate finance. Throughout the course, we will discuss how the value of money changes with time , i.e. how a dollar today differs from a dollar tomorrow, how we can value bonds and stocks using the concept of the time value of money, how a corporation makes capital budgeting decisions and chooses among potential investment projects by using the Net Present Value (NPV) and other investment evaluation methods, how the risk-return trade-off and the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) provide the grounding for portfolio theory
