RWS 281 Overview: Our class will use a Grammar Log (GL) this semester. You will complete entries for your log and turn in the document two times this semester. For the first three major writing assignments completed, students will be required to complete individualized grammar entries in their GL. The Grammar Log should be typed . This grammar activity is to be completed in addition to the weekly grammar assignments. Here’s how it works: The instructor will point out trouble spots on your final papers of Projects 1&3 indicating that the sentence is ungrammatical. Once the paper is graded and returned, students will have one week to complete their grammar entries and turn in their Grammar Log. In order to keep track of your progress, the instructor will keep the GL but it will be returned to you at the end of the semester. Directions: *Once you receive your graded draft, locate the sentences your instructor has highlighted, and notice how many errors you have. Then, use the student sample provided as a guide to complete your assessment and correction of the error. As this document is available on Blackboard, you can copy and paste the chart. *Please type the whole sentence *Be specific with your reasons (“my mistake” or “I was careless” are unacceptable). The reason of “typo” can only be applied to spelling) *Fix all errors to receive full credit You will correct about 5 sentences per assignment. Requirements for each entry:
