KNH 120 September 21, 2011 Reaction Paper #2 Physical Activity for Everyone I enjoyed this article so much to the point where I took notes for personal use after reading the great advice and examples it included. This article helped me realize how important physical activity is, whether we are 9 years old or 65 years old. The CDC recommends that we adults include both cardio or aerobic activities and resistance, strength-building, and weight-bearing activities in our lifestyle. CDC recommends that we either complete a minimum of 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity per day (or most days of the week) or complete a minimum of 20 minutes of vigorous- intensity physical activity 3 days a week. This I personally have been achieving. I enjoy working out on Total Body Machines for 20 minutes or more, or if I am sore from previous days, I will walk on an inclined treadmill for at least 30 minutes. The other recommendation from CDC, however, is something I need to work on. CDC
