Video Game-Any of various games played using a microcomputer with a keyboard and often joysticks to manipulate changes or respond to the action or questions on the screen. Gamer- A person who plays games, especially computer or video games. II. Massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG)-A genre of role-playing video games in which a very large number of players interact with one another within a virtual game world. III. Virtual Environment-A computer-generated, three-dimensional representation of a setting in which the user of the technology perceives themselves to be and within which interaction takes place; also called virtual landscape, virtual space, virtual world IV. Console Game-A form of interactive multimedia used for entertainment. The game consists of images (and usually sounds) generated by a video game console, and displayed on a television or similar audio-video system. The game itself is usually controlled and manipulated using a handheld device connected to the console called a controller. The controller generally contains a number of buttons and directional controls (such as analog joysticks) each of which has been assigned a purpose for interacting with and controlling the images on the screen. The display, speakers, console, and controls of a console can also be incorporated into one small object known as a handheld game console. V. Handheld Game Console-See Above.

Virtual Currency-(or in-game currency depending on environment) is used to purchase virtual goods within a variety of online communities; which include social networking websites, virtual worlds and online gaming sites. IX. Virtual Reality-A realistic simulation of an environment, including three-dimensional graphics, by a computer system using interactive software and hardware. X. Internet-A vast computer network linking smaller computer networks worldwide (usually preceded by the). The Internet includes commercial, educational, governmental, and other networks, all of which use the same set of communications protocols. XI.
