Michael Reber Review #3 1/19/11 The Blackfoot Indian culture goes hand and hand with the music within their culture. The majority of their songs are devoted to ceremonies and with the supernatural. One of the biggest ceremony that the Blackfoot Indian culture celebrates is called the Sun Dance and took place in mid-summer. All three tribal bands that make up the Blackfoot culture came together to celebrate the Sun Dance ceremony. Unfortunately by 1918 the Sun dance ceremony has essentially been lost in translation and has since been forgotten by the Blackfoot culture. Another immense aspect of the Blackfoot music assortment is the Medicine Bundle ceremony, these ceremonies are older and smaller. A medicine bundle consists of many objects that are wrapped up and kept away. When opened each piece inside that certain bundle represented a song which is sang when opened. Some examples of these medicine bundles is the horse or beaver medicine bundles. Another fact that I found interesting is that the formality of the Blackfoot music has
