Communication Techniques Business Communication 135 Communication Techniques University of Phoenix Mark Watson February 3 2010 Carol Bagley Communication Techniques like anything has changed over time, modernized with the changing corporate world as the need to be more mobile becomes necessary. As many business people now operate away from the office the need for some form of mobile communication device becomes necessary in order to be able to report back to the main office, reach managers, and other employee’s in order to keep them up to date on progress, changes, and anything else that may require communication. Email is one of the fastest growing forms of communication in today’s environment of the corporate world. Appropriately written emails can be fast and efficient allowing for attachments to be sent if necessary. They can be used to advise a colleague of date changes, meeting reminders, they can be used to send budget reports, or reports from meetings held outside the office. Emails act as a documentation chain that can be expanded on when the need arises.
