Unformatted text preview: Determination Reauthorization Act of 2007, H.R. 2786 was passed on September 6, 2007 that gave another permission of five years to address housing needs of Native Americans. Since Indian Americans have limited access to credit, land ownership restrictions, bad environmental conditions, this legislation will assist tp ease the conditions, encouraging them to participate in "the Title VI loan guarantee program, and to compete for HOME funds". (Current Legislation, para. 2). Exceptional housing confrontations Native Americans face, including economic conditions, restrictions on individual land rights, and inadequate housing, urgent federal financial support is necessary.
