My name is Tracie Clark and I am applying for the Tillman Military Scholarship because I am currently working towards my Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management. I am currently using 12 months of benefits that were transferred from my husband’s Post 9/11 GI bill to me. The GI bill will only cover the next 7 months of my tuition, but I have 24 months of college left, before I graduate. I am also currently unemployed and due to the economic down turn it has been a real challenge to gain employment, in turn I decided that I was going to better myself and become a more productive person in society by obtaining my degree. I am also a full time mother of four children, a wife, and a full time student. This scholarship will aid me in funding my tuition and allowing me to be a success for myself, my children and the rest of my family, by obtaining my degree and eventually fulfilling my dream of being my own boss and opening my own business.
