Unformatted text preview: 1947 Partition Decal Syllabus Student Instructors : Harkiran Bolaria Ramandeep Kaur Email: [email protected] [email protected] Maneet Sandhar [email protected] Faculty Advisor : Alex Saragoza Office Hours : By appointment, if necessary Course Objectives : The purpose of this course is to instruct interested students about the history, background and aftermath of the 1947 partition of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, the largest human migration of recent history, by means of discussion sessions, documenting interviews, and individual research. Students will be required to interview partition survivors for this organization. Anyone unable to do so should not sign up for this decal. Students will be given credit in any official documentation of these interviews if they so choose. Class Structure : The class will be taught through a series of discussion sessions once a week. These sessions will be instructed collaboratively by the aforementioned student instructors, as well as guest lecturers. Supplementary readings may be assigned and will instructors, as well as guest lecturers....
